It was dedicated to the Hagia Sophia which means the Divine Wisdom, an attribute of Christ.

Hippodrome, Hippodrome was built in 203 AD by the Roman Emperor Septimus Severus. Three remaining monuments from the original building are The Egyptian Obelisk, The Serpentine Column and The Constantine Column .Also the German Fountain of Wilhelm II worth to see.
